In 2017, Floraïku, a niche French brand, was created by Clara and John Molloy, founders of the perfume house Memo Paris. In this new project, perfumery is presented as a form of poetry; scents created from natural ingredients are complemented by the magical power of words and emotional images. All fragrances are inspired by the Japanese culture and by haiku poems – short verses that capture the wonders of nature and life in just a few words.
Following tradition, each Floraïku fragrance is accompanied by a haiku poem:
«We look upon the sky
No rain at all
One umbrella for two.»
This poem serves as inspiration for the fragrance One Umbrella for Two, which is part of the Japanese Tea Ceremony Collection. This poetic scent opens with notes of black currant and velvet-like peach cut into the heart of green Gyokuro tea. The base of musk, cedar wood, vanilla, and caramel strengthens the intensity and luxurious softness of the aroma. It's an incredibly beautiful, evocative and romantic scent, offering evening freshness and warmth. At the start the fragrance realistically conveys the smell of sand pie with currant jam and green tea. Cedarwood oil leaves an extremely delicious aftertaste. A very realistic gourmet fragrance and a bestseller of the brand.
