It sounds good on hot summer days when the body needs coolness and freshness. It is suitable in winter when the nose is tired of warm, saturated, overly manipulative and complex aromas, and dreams want to take you to the seaside, to sunny and beautiful Italy. Knowing this, By Kilian perfumers have created a true embodiment of elegance and sophistication – the fragrance Lemon in Zest. Upon creating the composition, the author was inspired by the traditional Italian alcoholic drink – limoncello, and the fragrance was released for the brand's boutique in Lugano (Switzerland).

The composition is described as beautiful, pleasant, with a sound that is delicate, invigorating and very naturalistic. Its initial motifs combine the boldness of bright lemon with the sweetness of playful mandarin. The «heart» chords of the perfumed water amaze with their sophistication of the alcohol notes and the softness of the tantalizing and sensuous vanilla. The combination of the tiare flower, bringing its sweet woody-earthy fragrance to the composition, and the balsamic-spicy motives of Indonesian patchouli completes this aromatic symphony. Fresh alcohol is a rarity in fragrances. Usually when aromas assert alcohol and vanilla notes, the perfume is necessarily warm and warming by definition, but this isn't the case with Lemon in Zest. The perfume is very refreshing and invigorating, it sounds brightly and clearly. Citrus fruits play the main role, but the vanilla brandy on a mandarin base is also heard clearly.
