Tom Ford's new fragrance Rose d'Amalfi is dedicated to roses and is part of the Private Rose Garden range in anticipation of Valentine's Day. Inspiration for this scent comes from the Amalfi Coast, where the smell of roses blends with aromas of flowers and citrus fruits. The aroma has been created using a unique 'rose on rose' distillation inspired by the rare flowers from his own garden. Tom Ford Rose d'Amalfi is a citrus-flowery fragrance for both men and women. It is very sensual, romantic, elegant and uplifting, accentuated by a bouquet of citrus, fruit and floral tones, as well as softer and powdery nuances. It opens with top notes of bergamot, mandarin and pink pepper, and the floral heart reveals jasmine and rose. The rich gourmand base is dominated by deep notes of almond. Housed in a semi-transparent Private Blend bottle with a matte white label, shiny black cap and light pink content, the scent is positioned as unisex and suitable for both men and women. Tom Ford himself says that his creations are intended for “strong, intelligent, tasteful women” and “cultured, world-traveling, successful men”.
