The so-called “decanting“ means to buy a certain fragrance with the aim of sharing it later with others.

Why is it so popular?

The answer is simple: it’s profitable and convenient. Scents poured into miniature bottles give you the opportunity to try different aromas and understand how they suit you without wasting money on full bottles.

What does buying together give you?


  • There’s no need to buy a big bottle of unknown perfume. A small amount of the scent allows you to fully assess the persistence of the perfume, the effect on the skin, and decide whether it suits you or not.
  •  “Decanting“ allows you to try as many different (including rare and expensive) perfumes as possible, spending relatively little money on them.
  •  “Decanting “ a perfume is a great way to get good, expensive and rarely used perfumes for special occasions. The smell in a large bottle can change over time, and not for the better, so it is more practical and cheaper to buy 5-10 ml of this "special" perfume.

  • An opportunity to try a fragrance that is not sold in stores. (I probably found scents that are not yet available in Estonia, but I’ll tell you more about it later on).
  • Thanks to its small size, the bottle can always be carried in your bag.
  • You use up the scent before the smell gets worse (fragrances in large bottles often lose their saturation and intensity over time).


And finally, it’s worth remembering that scents tend to get boring, so it can be very disappointing to find two-thirds of a large bottle of boring perfume sitting idle on the shelf.
